Kenny Brown has been appointed Managing Director of Glasgow Warriors following a successful six-month interim period in the role.
Brown initially joined the club in 2018 and progressed through senior positions including Team Manager and Head of Operations before being made Interim Managing Director in September of last year.
During his six-month tenure to date, Glasgow Warriors have enjoyed a period of outstanding on field success, sitting top of the United Rugby Championship standings while also recording a perfect, unbeaten pool stage in the Investec Champions Cup.
The club also retained the 1872 Cup with the flagship fixture at Hampden Park once again proving a major success both in terms of performance and supporter engagement.
Glasgow Warriors’ women’s team have also continued to develop, including a club record attendance of 1,841 for a standalone women’s fixture in last Friday’s Celtic Challenge clash against Edinburgh at Scotstoun.
Speaking following confirmation of his appointment, Brown said: “It’s an incredible honour to be appointed Managing Director of a club I’ve been proud to serve for many years.
“The last six months have reinforced just how special this club is, from our players and backroom team, to our sponsors, partners and, of course, our supporters.
“I’m hugely grateful for the trust that’s been placed in me and I’m excited to continue building on the strong foundations already in place.”
