Leidos make crowd pledge for Plaster It Purple

Glasgow Warriors supporters have been given even more of an incentive to secure their seat for Friday’s Plaster It Purple clash with Leinster, after Official Kit Sponsor Leidos agreed to donate £1 to the cause for every seat sold at Scotstoun.

With the United Rugby Championship fixture set to be one of the club’s biggest matches of the season, the Warrior Nation
are being encouraged to make the match the first sell-out crowd at Scotstoun
since February 2020, and the first since the green light was given for the
return of fans to stadia across Scotland.

100% of the proceeds raised from the Plaster It Purple fixture will benefit Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, as the club shows its support and appreciation to the staff and patients at its Official Charity Partner.

Supporters are being encouraged to wear purple to the match, with the Warriors to continue to warm-up in their dedicated purple jerseys prior to kick-off.

“We can’t think of a better cause than Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity who work tirelessly to ensure children and their families are looked after when they need it most,” said Alec Harley, Director of Leidos in Scotland.

“Leidos is a large employer in Scotland and it’s important to give back to our local community. We hope to see Scotstoun sold out as we get behind an incredibly worthy charity.”

Glasgow Warriors Head Coach Danny Wilson hailed the generosity of the gesture, adding: “It’s an incredible gesture from Leidos, and one that we know will make a real difference to the children and families in the care of Glasgow Children’s Hospital.

“The players already have a real buzz about this weekend’s match, and to have the backing of a sold-out Scotstoun crowd for one of our biggest matches of the year would be a tremendous boost to the squad.

“We hope to see you all there in the stands on Friday night, raising money for a good cause and getting behind your team.”
