Scott Cummings made his competitive debut for Glasgow Warriors against Scarlets in September 2015.

The Glasgow-born second-row joined the Warriors elite development roster in the summer of 2014, earning a professional contract in 2016.

He made his debut for Glasgow in a pre-season fixture against Clermont Auvergne prior to the 2015/16 season, scoring his first try in a victory over Connacht in round two of the 2015/16 Guinness PRO12.

He established himself as a member of the Warriors senior squad ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, scoring an impressive try against the Dragons in pre-season before a series of eye-catching performances in the early rounds of the Guinness PRO14

Cummings has represented Scotland throughout the age-grades, captaining the U20s in the 2015 World Championships in Manchester.

He was educated at Kelvinside Academy and was the deputy head boy and captain of the 1st XV.

In 2019, Cummings made his international debut off the bench against France in Nice, making his first start against the same opposition a week later at BT Murrayfield. His first try for his country came against Georgia in Tbilisi, three days before being named in the Scotland squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The second-rower made his 100th appearance for Glasgow Warriors in April 2023, leading out the team ahead of a record-breaking 73-33 victory over the Dragons in the EPCR Challenge Cup.

Cummings scored Glasgow’s opening try in the unforgettable 2023/24 BKT URC Grand Final win over the Vodacom Bulls in Pretoria, the second-rower squeezing over on the stroke of half-time to start the fightback that resulted in a 21-16 victory.
