Ally Miller

Openside Flanker

Ally Miller joined Glasgow Warriors in the summer of 2021, having impressed in both 7s and 15-a-side rugby.

The flanker made his debut for the club in October 2021, coming off the bench in a 35-24 victory over the Sharks at Scotstoun.

His first try for the club came in memorable fashion, sprinting over from 30 metres in a 12-11 win over Aviron Bayonnais in December 2023.

Miller followed his first try up just a week later with a similarly memorable score, cutting inside past three defenders to score in a 22-10 victory over Edinburgh at Scotstoun.

Having played his mini rugby at Musselburgh and Preston Lodge, Miller then impressed in the Tennents Premiership for Melrose.

A spell at London Scottish followed, where he won the 2017 Sir Tommy Macpherson Quaich presented to the club’s outstanding player by Friends of Scottish Rugby.

Miller is also an accomplished 7s player, having represented Scotland with distinction on the World Rugby 7s Series.

He was selected for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on Australia’s Gold Coast, having made his Scotland debut at the 2017 Las Vegas and Vancouver legs of the World Series.

Away from rugby, Miller is studying for a economics and management degree at Heriot Watt University.
