Fresh faces at Scotstoun for pre-season
With 22 Warriors training with their respective national sides ahead of the upcoming 2019 Rugby World Cup, Glasgow will be boosted by the presence of extra young Scottish talent as pre-season training begins at Scotstoun this week.
Scotland 7s stars Glenn Bryce, Alec Coombes, Robbie Fergusson, Gavin Lowe and Max McFarland will all train with the Warriors in the early part of the season before beginning preparations for 2019/20 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
Both Bryce and Fergusson have played for the Warriors previously, while Lowe and McFarland have also had spells training at Scotstoun.
All five, along with Kyle Rowe who represented Scotland on the final two legs of the 2018/19 World Series, will be available for selection for the Warriors ahead of the 2019/20 World Series.

Kyle Steyn joined Glasgow from the 7s programme midway through last season and went on to play ten times for the Warriors and has since been included in Gregor Townsend’s Rugby World Cup training squad.
Two of the best Hookers from the Scottish club game will also train at Scotstoun ahead of the new season with Ross Graham and Johnny Matthews having impressed for Watsonians and Boroughmuir in the Tennent’s Premiership last season.
Matthews was the Premiership’s top scorer last season with 19 tries from the front row while Graham has represented his country at all age-grade levels and is also a club international.
