Glasgow Warriors Warriors hold on. 5 points on the road.
Glasgow’s defence forces a knock on and we have the scrum feed on half way.
The hosts are looking dangerous as we enter the closing stages. Warriors needing a score to make the result safe but Zebre on the attack.
Glasgow are intercepted and the Zebre winger rungs the length. One score in it going into the final 10 minutes.
Having hammered the Zebre line for the majority of the second half Glasgow finally cross for the bonus point score.
The hosts receive their third yellow card of the night, this time for bringing down an advancing maul
Adam Hastings’ yellow card stays a yellow and he returns to the pitch.
Warriors over throw a line out and fumble forward. Off the resulting scrum they concede a penalty and allow the hosts to exit.
Glasgow hammer the Zebre line. The attack is faulted as the ball goes forward off a Zebre hand. The referee deems that it was in the act of a tackle. Back to an earlier advantage.
Glasgow think they have their bonus point try but the TMO can’t see a clear grounding. Back to a penalty advantage.
Franco empties his bench
Zebre make the most of their man advantage immediately and score under the posts.
Adam Hastings is sent to the bin having made contact with the head in the tackle. There will be an off field review.
The hosts spread the ball well and get some joy when it finds it way to the wings. They attack into Glasgow’s 22 but a foot in touch relieves pressure.
The second half is underway in Parma
Two Gregor Hiddleston scores and a Penalty Try put Glasgow in control at the break.
The hosts send a huge penalty deep into Glasgow’s 22 as they look to register another score before the break.
Warriors respond immediately. Another dominant maul resulting in another try from Gregor Hiddleston.
The hosts respond with a try of their own. Off the back of the maul the Italians power over the line and after a lengthy TMO check grounding is confirmed.
Warriors have their second score as the maul continues to dominate.
The Warriors are searching for a second score. The hosts, playing with 14 following a yellow card that went hand in hand with the penalty try, are struggling to deal with Glasgow’s attack and are on another warning from the referee for persistent penalties.
First blood Glasgow. A rolling maul is dragged down illegally and the referee runs under the post with his arm aloft.
Warriors finally venture into Zebre territory but the home side defend resolutely and force an error.
The opening stages have been evenly contested, Warriors yet to have much attacking possession.
The hosts start the game the brightest, they kick a penalty to the corner but knock on as they attack Glasgow’s line. Warriors clear.
“We prepared well and hopefully we can produce a proper performance. Zebre have a very good attack set up and a resilient defence. I know their coaches and it’s going to be a real challenge tonight.”
