Bath That’ll do for tonight, as a strong Bath squad overcome a youthful Glasgow outfit.

The final word goes to the visitors and tonight’s victors, as they get over for a final score out wide. Can’t quite make out who’s the scorer, but Donohue’s conversion makes it 53-5 at full time

Watson is almost clear but he’s hauled down and isolated in midfield.
Penalty to Bath and the lineout will be on Glasgow’s 22.
Finally the try the effort deserves!
It’s a solid scrum and Yule flings a beauty of a pass to Alex Bryden, who sprints over in the corner.
The conversion is wide but the Warriors won’t be denied a score.
Strong work to turn the ball back over, and Glasgow win the penalty in the shadow of the posts.

Johnston breaks clear and almost finds Yule with the offload, but it drifts forward and Bath have a scrum on their own five metre line.
Still the Warriors come forward and there’s a penalty awarded in midfield as Bath stray offside on their own 22.
Kuenzle is back on and he kicks to the corner.
Another score from the visitors as they scamper away from a scrum down the blindside and work the overlap to score.
The conversion is added to take the score to 46-0 in favour of the visitors.
Duncan fumbles in midfield and Bath pounce on the ball on their own 10m line.
No advantage, so scrum to the visitors.
Cam Redpath intercepts a pass in midfield and races clear for the try.
Ciaran Donohue adds the extras for a 39-0 lead.
A bit of a lengthy stoppage as a couple of players receive treatment, and the upshot after the restart is a Glasgow lineout as Bath clear to touch.
Oliver plays the territorial game, kicking in behind the Bath defence.

Glasgow on the attack inside their own territory, as Watson looks to spark something from deep.
Halkon carries well once more, and a Bath error gives Glasgow a scrum on halfway.
Bath win the turnover and look to counter attack, but Kerr Johnston makes a good tackle in midfield.

Yule is the catalyst again, bursting clear out wide and chipping ahead for Oliver to chase.
Bath scramble and clear, but Glasgow have the lineout on the Bath 22.
The ball is back in Glasgow hands after a Bath error, as Oliver looks to get play moving on halfway.
Dan Halkon shows his power as he bursts through the challenge of Reid, before Yule is freed out wide for a carry into Bath territory.
Good carry from Duncan again, but van Wyk is ushered into touch as he looks to break out wide.

The ball bounces Bath’s way from a high kick, and Miles Reid draws the last man to send van der Linde over for his second try.
No conversion, so the scoreline reads 32-0 to Bath.
Oliver loops around Yule and kicks long, but Bath cover well and run it back to halfway.
An unforced error in midfield from Bath, and Glasgow have the scrum.
Ollie McKenna, Joe Roberts and Murphy Walker now form the Glasgow front-row.
The replacements straight into the fray, as Kerr Yule and Jack Oliver set Urwin free.
Bath defend well though and win the lineout.
Bath kick to touch, and Glasgow have a lineout on their own 10m line.

A charging run from Fraser gets Glasgow over the gain line, and Macenzzie Duncan rides a big tackle in midfield to keep play moving.
Reidy is half charged down, but the Bath defence is offside and Urwin finds touch from the penalty.

A bit messy in midfield but it comes back to Glasgow hands and Reidy kicks high into the night sky.
It basically goes straight up and down again due to the wind, but a Warrior comes up with the ball and we play on.
No idea how he’s got that down, but the ref sees the ball grounded and it’s a try.
A bit chaotic as Cokanasiga fumbles the cross-kick, but the ball bounces straight into the hands of a Bath player and the ball is seen on the ground under a pile of bodies.
Not sure who got the ball down, but the conversion is wide and it’s 27-0.
And away we go again – no changes to your Warriors at the interval.
That’ll do for the first half – a more evenly-matched first 40 than the scoreline suggests, with Bath’s physicality proving the key difference.

Scrappy ball but Bath somehow make something of it – Lawrence is the man to make the final carry, Russell converting for a 22-0 half time lead.
Another scrum penalty for Bath and Russell goes for touch with what will likely be the last play of the half.
Reidy goes for the kick in behind, but once again the wind carries the ball too far and it’s a scrum to Bath on halfway.
Van der Linde clears, but Glasgow come forward again on halfway with Kuenzle – he’s been busy with ball in hand.
Ventisei then does well to spin out of the tackle of Ojomoh.
Smart from Urwin, as Bath’s defence earns the upper hand. The fly-half therefore pins the visitors five metres from their own line with a well-measured grubber kick.
An almighty drive from the Warriors pack, but the ball comes loose at the base of the ruck and is hacked to touch on the Bath 22.
Still Glasgow ball however.
A second successive penalty for the Warriors, and play is brought back as van Wyk can’t reel in Urwin’s cross-kick.
Once more the call is to the corner.
Sharp break from Watson, and Bath go off their feet at the ruck.
Urwin finds touch seven metres out.
Knock on from Ewels as he looks to steal the lineout, so Glasgow have the scrum on the Bath 10m line.
Bernard van der Linde snipes over from close range, getting the ball down despite the efforts of Kuenzle.
Carreras takes over kicking duties but has no more success, and it’s 15-0 to Bath.
Once more the Bath scrum wins the penalty, and Russell puts it into the corner.
Great defensive effort from Urwin – Bath make the break, but the Glasgow fly-half gets in the way of the offload to Guy Pepper and slows play down.
Fergus Watson then fires into the ruck and forces the error, giving the Warriors a scrum 10m from their own line.
Inches from perfect.
Urwin spots the space and goes for the 50-22, but the wind carries the bounce beyond the try-line and it goes dead.

Glasgow in possession on halfway, and a nice link up between Kuenzle and Urwin almost gets the Warriors through a gap.
Bath reset well, driving the hosts back and forcing Callum Reidy to kick long.
Brilliant defensive shot on his own line by Ventisei, but the ball is recycled quickly and a three-on-two overlap out wide gives Joe Cokanasiga the room to dive over in the corner/
Russell again is off target from the tee, so it’s 10-0 to the visitors.

Glasgow defending with 14 after a big shot in midfield from Angus Fraser, and Bath looking to exploit the numbers.
Five metres out… but it’s a knock on and Glasgow come away with the scrum.

Big shove from the visitors and they attack from that platform, Carreras looking to kick in behind.
It goes into touch via a touch from van Wyk, giving Bath a lineout on the Glasgow 10m line.
Strong defence from Bath as they drive the Warriors back, eventually forcing the knock on in midfield.

Superb work rate from Macenzzie Duncan as the number eight piles the pressure on Carreras and Glasgow win the penalty at the breakdown.

Good defensive pressure from Kuenzle and Johnny Ventisei forces a knock on from Ollie Lawrence, and Glasgow have the scrum on halfway.
An enterprising response from the Warriors, who show good speed to win the ball back and look to counter attack.
There’s a knock on at the breakdown though and Bath have a scrum on their own 10m line.
Against the run of play, it’s Bath who open the scoring.
An end to end passage of play is ended by a piece of individual brilliance from Santiago Carreras, the Argentinian full-back regathering his own chip ahead from his own 10m line to sprint clear for the score.
Finn Russell – with almost his first touch of the game – can’t bring the kick around, so it remains 5-0 to Bath.
Solid exit play from the English outfit, and Glasgow have the lineout on halfway.
Glasgow look to maul, but Bath suffocate the drive and win the turnover. Scrum to the visitors 15m from their own line.
No advantage, so Urwin goes to touch – lineout 15m from the Bath line.
Good early carry from Bayley Kuenzle, as he almost sets Cam van Wyk away on the wing.
Bath scramble well in defence but advantage to the home side.
Bath turn it over and clear to touch, but Tuipulotu will have the throw on the Bath 22.
Urwin sends a penalty to touch 10m out, Glasgow lineout.
Early field position for the Warriors, as Bath slice the clearance kick to touch.

Glasgow Warriors Head Coach Franco Smith has named a team that gives the club’s young talents a space to shine, with Matthew Urwin, Fergus Watson and Macenzzie Duncan amongst the recent academy graduates in the starting XV.
Bayley Kuenzle is set for his first action in Glasgow colours after being selected at inside centre, whilst senior pros including Josh McKay and Sam Talakai provide experience on the bench.
We start with tonight’s visitors, who bring a star-studded lineup to Old Anniesland for this evening’s clash.
Scotland fly-half Finn Russell wears the number 10 jersey, in a line up that also includes internationals such as Max Ojomoh and Ted Hill.
There’s also a return to Glasgow for Jamie Bhatti, who is named on the bench after moving to The Rec this summer.
Good evening from Old Anniesland – welcome to coverage of our final warm-up clash ahead of the 2026/27 season, as Bath provide the opposition for the Cairnhill Pre-Season Friendly.

Anniesland Station is the nearest railway station and is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the venue. Anniesland is served by regular ScotRail services from Glasgow Queen Street, Partick and other stations across the west of Scotland.
Jordanhill Station is also within walking distance, approximately 15-20 minutes from the ground.
