Good evening, and welcome to Scotstoun Stadium.
We’re delighted to be back at home and hosting our closest rivals Edinburgh in the first leg of our festive head-to-head derbies.
This year we’re also celebrating the 150th anniversary of this special rivalry.
As part of the celebrations you’ll see tonight both team’s are wearing bespoke playing kits unique to this occasion. For Glasgow’s kit the names of the players who played in that very first derby in 1872 are printed.
Edinburgh’s design calls back to the very first kit worn, with a similar hoop-design to that original jersey.
