Five Glasgow U20 talents to take on Ireland
Scotland U20 Head Coach Kenny Murray has named five of Glasgow Warriors’ top academy prospects in his squad to face Ireland this weekend, as his team rounds out its 2022 U20 Six Nations campaign in Cork on Sunday afternoon.
The men in blue will once again be led by Rhys Tait from the back-row, the openside flanker having made 57 tackles across his four outings so far in the championship.
Max Williamson joins his captain in the pack, having played all bar 23 minutes of the competition to date in the Scotland second-row.
Christian Townsend starts at fly-half, the Ayrshire Bulls man making his tenth consecutive appearance for Murray’s men.
Duncan Munn retains the number 13 shirt, with the Boroughmuir Bears centre having been involved in each of the fixtures in his debut season as a Scotland U20 international.
The Glasgow contingent is completed by winger Ross McKnight, whose powerful brand of running has seen him cause problems for each of the opposition defences in the tournament.
Scotland U20 take on Ireland U20 at Musgrave Park this Sunday, with the match live on BBC iPlayer from 5pm.
