Final PRO14 league fixtures confirmed

Glasgow Warriors’ Guinness PRO14 campaign will resume on Saturday 13 February when they welcome Benetton at Scotstoun Stadium in their last outstanding fixture from January.

The Warrior Nation will then have five more fixtures – two home and three away – to enjoy live on Premier Sports over consecutive weekends, with PRO14 confirming rounds 12-16 today.

First up, Glasgow take on Ulster at Scotstoun on Friday 19 February, before travelling to Leinster on Sunday 28 February.

In March, the club travels away to Zebre (6 March) before welcoming Ospreys the following week (12 March) and rounding off the tournament away to Dragons at Rodney Parade (21 March).

The table toppers from each conference will play each other in the PRO14 final on the weekend of 26/27/28 March, ahead of the Rainbow Cup starting in April.

Glasgow Warriors Head Coach, Danny Wilson, said: “We’re looking forward to having a regular period of games in February and March, reenergised from our recent break.

“The players showed a lot of character to beat Edinburgh in our last game and today’s fixture announcement allows us to focus and prepare to build on that performance.”

PRO14 Rugby have confirmed that no Play-off games will be required for European qualification and that rankings after Round 16 will be used to determine which teams will participate in next season’s Heineken Champions Cup once EPCR have confirmed the format.

In addition, to the PRO14 fixtures, Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh are currently considering options for a third and final 1872 Cup contest this season in order to complete the three-game derby series, currently tied on one game apiece.
