Weekend Update

The season gets underway, a new kit, and the Scottish Rugby Store comes to Glasgow - check out what's been happening with the first Weekend Update of the 2020/21 campaign.

Edged out in Galway

Glasgow Warriors came up just short in their opening match of the 2020/21 Guinness PRO14, as Connacht edged a closely-fought affair 28-24 in Galway on Saturday evening.

Despite tries from Nick Grigg, Huw Jones and Tommy Seymour, Danny Wilson’s side were rewarded with only a losing bonus-point for their efforts at The Sportsground.

2020/21 kit revealed

Saturday also saw the first outing for the club’s new 2020/21 Alternate kit, one of two new shirts revealed by the club and Macron earlier in the week.

New Glasgow Scottish Rugby Store opens

Supporters can now pick up all of their Glasgow Warriors kit and leisurewear from the new Scottish Rugby Store in Glasgow, which opened its doors for the first time on Friday.

The shop – located at 44 Queen Street – has already been busy, as supporters pick up their 2020/21 stash.

Warriors v Sirens

Away from the field, the first contest between Glasgow Warriors and Strathclyde Sirens was premiered over the weekend, as the two teams square off in a series of challenges at the University of Strathclyde.
