Weekend Update

Warriors shine for Scotland, a famous draw at Scotstoun and two new Warriors make their debut - catch up with everything that's been going on with the latest Weekend Update.

Starring roles on Scotland duty

A landmark weekend kicked off in style for Glasgow’s Scotland contingent, as nine Warriors helped the men in blue to a 48-7 win over Georgia at BT Murrayfield.

Fraser Brown crossed for a brace on his debut as Scotland captain, whilst Oli Kebble made his first appearance in a Scotland shirt by coming off the bench in the second half.

History at Scotstoun

Just 48 hours later, Scotland Women produced a stunning performance at Scotstoun to earn an historic 13-13 draw with world number four-ranked France in the Women’s Six Nations.

A late try from Rachel Shankland on debut and the nerveless conversion by Helen Nelson saw Scotland claim a first draw with Les Bleues in 19 Championship encounters.

Debuts in Swansea

Whilst Glasgow Warriors were ultimately defeated at the Liberty Stadium by the Ospreys on Saturday evening, there were still a couple of highlights for the Warrior Nation to enjoy.

Tries from Huw Jones and George Turner had put Glasgow ahead early on, whilst the newest two Warriors were welcomed to the fold in the form of Hamish Bain and TJ Ioane.
