Warriors power past Dragons
Back-to-back bonus-point wins were duly secured on Saturday night, as Glasgow Warriors claimed a valuable 34-19 victory over the Dragons at Scotstoun.
It was a good night to be a member of the pack, with four of the five tries on the night coming courtesy of the Glasgow forwards; Grant Stewart, Tim Swinson and Mesu Dolokoto all found themselves on the scoresheet – in Stewart’s case, twice – with Huw Jones adding a try of his own.

New deal for Stewart
As if two tries on Saturday night wasn’t enough, Grant Stewart gave the Warrior Nation further reason to be cheerful yesterday following the announcement that the hooker had agreed a new two-year deal with the club.
The former Dalziel man made his Scotland debut over the summer, with his new contract keeping him at Scotstoun until at least the summer of 2022.
✍️ Grant Stewart is the latest Glasgow Warrior to pledge his future to the club, putting pen to paper on a new two-year deal.

Scotland victorious in Rome
A number of Warriors also excelled on international duty over the weekend, as Scotland claimed a first win in the 2020 Guinness Six Nations.
Adam Hastings provided the scoring pass for Chris Harris before crossing the whitewash himself, with Gregor Townsend’s men running out 17-0 winners against Italy at the Stadio Olimpico.

Adam Hastings beat 10 defenders for @Scotlandteam against Italy yesterday. He’s just the 3rd player in any position to hit double figures for this stat in a match during the Gregor Townsend era.
(the others are Hamish Watson v Wales 2019; and Sam Johnson v England 2019).
