Weekend Update

Six of the best in Salford, the Warrior Nation do the club proud once more and Scotland Women open 2020 with a win - get the lowdown with the latest Weekend Update.

Sharks downed in Salford

Other results may have meant that Glasgow Warriors exited the Heineken Champions Cup this weekend, but Dave Rennie’s men didn’t go quietly.

A comprehensive 45-7 victory over Sale Sharks at the AJ Bell Stadium gave the travelling Warrior Nation reasons to be cheerful, with six tries securing the bonus-point in style.

Rob’s record

There was also a moment of club history to recognise on Saturday evening, as Rob Harley added to his list of achievements in a Warriors jersey.

The flanker became the first player in the club’s history to appear in 50 top-flight European matches, receiving a commemorative cap to mark the occasion.

Warrior Nation take over Shark Tank

The club’s supporters once again proved why they’re regarded as one of the best travelling contingents in Europe, turning out in force at the AJ Bell and making themselves heard at every opportunity.

Scotland Women triumph in Spain

Ahead of their 2020 Six Nations campaign, Scotland Women opened their account for the year with an impressive victory over Spain in Almeria.

Philip Doyle’s side ran in six tries to overpower their hosts, with a few new faces representing their country for the first time.
