Spotlight | Huw Jones
It’s been some start to the 2020/21 season for Huw Jones.
Having made
his name as a centre capable of devastating defences worldwide, the 26-year-old
has carved himself a new niche this year with his highly impressive displays at
full-back.
The Scotland
international currently sits in the top five in no fewer than five Guinness
PRO14 attacking categories, with his fine early-season form being rewarded by
supporters with the McCrea Financial Services Warrior of the Month award for
October.
Tries
against Connacht and the Ospreys stand out in his four outings to date this
campaign, whilst his tally of 224 metres made sees him trail Zebre full-back
Junior Laloifi by just a single metre.

Jones’
attacking threat has also seen him create opportunities for his team-mates;
with five clean breaks, seven offloads and 11 defenders beaten, the full-back
has been tearing it up across the competition.
The former
Stormer will now look to transfer his form to the international arena, having
been selected in Scotland’s squad for the inaugural Autumn Nations Cup.
