McKay thanks Warrior Nation for support in Bath draw
Following Friday’s draw in the Challenge Cup against Bath, Josh McKay says there is plenty to take into the next game.
The disappointment of not getting the win is clear when Josh McKay spoke with glasgowarriors.org saying “We are pretty gutted – obviously we would have loved have come away with the win.”
“We made it hard for ourselves, was a bit scrappy at the end. We couldn’t win our breakdown and there were a few too many errors.”
Looking ahead to the next game and the week ahead of training McKay is pretty certain he knows where the focus will be at training.
“I would say we are going to be doing a reasonable amount of bread and butter and focusing on just maintaining our position both in the breakdown and in the carry.
“We had quite a lot of handling errors, so we need to get that right.”
Despite the cold weather the Warrior Nation was out in force with the stadium being full once again. The support from the fans is noticeable on the pitch and definitely has an impact on the pitch.
“It is awesome. The Warrior Nation always turns out in numbers and they are always so loud.
“We love playing at home and we are bitterly disappointed that we couldn’t put a better performance.
“We will definitely be taking the learnings, which there are a lot of and rebuilding and going out there next time”
Glasgow Warriors next home match is against Ulster on the Friday 17 February. Tickets can be bought here.
