“I’m really proud of the players” – Rennie
The home side snatched victory with the last kick of the game having fought back after the Warriors had built a lead and although clearly disappointed, Rennie could not fault his side’s heart against the Irish giants.
Speaking after the game he said: “I’m really proud of the guys, they played a lot of good footy.
“We had a slow first 15 but scored some good tries and defended well for a big chunk of the game but it wasn’t enough in the end.
“I thought we did enough to win the game but unfortunately we didn’t, credit to Munster they kept coming back. We were one ruck away from winning it.
“We got our noses in front and it was about controlling the ball. Munster played pretty smartly, they took out our support players and isolated the ball carrier.
“It’s a game of inches. Both sides can look back on key moments but they’re a good side, they’re tough to beat here and they showed us why.”
Glasgow came away with from the game with two bonus points and now travel to Ospreys in a huge top of Conference A fixture.
The Welsh side sit in second place, just four points behind the Warriors but Rennie was adamant that should his side perform in Swansea like they did in Limerick they will come away with the result they deserve.
