Brown will transition from his current role as Head of Operations for an initial 12-month period having joined the club in 2018.

He became Team Manager in 2019 before progressing to Head of Operations in 2021, a position which has seen him deliver last year’s record breaking 1872 Cup fixture to Hampden Park, the renovation of the Scotstoun’s fan zone area and relationships with some of the club’s most significant stakeholders.

The 43-year-old has extensive experience across the Scottish Rugby landscape, first joining the Union as a Regional Development Manager in 2008.

He diversified his CV with managerial positions at both sportscotland and Premiership Rugby before returning to Scottish Rugby and Glasgow Warriors in 2018.

The club’s new interim Managing Director spent his formative years at Dumfries Rugby Club, going on to captain the Men’s 1st XV in his early 20s before moving to Glasgow where he played for Hillhead Jordanhill, Glasgow Hawks and Hamilton Bulls.

Coaching positions at Hamilton and latterly GHK followed meaning Brown has been involved in community and professional rugby in the West of Scotland for nearly four decades.

Kellock spent four years in charge at Scotstoun, overseeing the recruitment of Head Coach Franco Smith and subsequent 2024 United Rugby Championship win.

The 44-year-old built and managed a leadership team that has overseen a period of significant growth for the club. Initially reconnecting with the fanbase and transitioning out of a challenging COVID period, Glasgow now has more commercial partners than ever and recorded a 25% growth in ticket revenue under Kellock’s tenure.

“It’s an incredible honour to be appointed interim Managing Director of a club I’ve been proud to serve for many years,” said Brown.

“I’ve been fortunate to work alongside exceptional players, coaches, staff, sponsors, and supporters at Scotstoun since 2018, and I understand first-hand the passion and ambition that drives us all.

“My goal is to build on our success both on and off the pitch. We are the largest professional sports club to represent the whole of Glasgow and the west of Scotland and I’m excited to represent our supporters with pride and deepen our connection with that community.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be a Glasgow Warriors supporter. We have one of the best coaches in the world, as well as a squad full of young Scottish talent who are looking forward to testing themselves against some of the biggest teams in Europe at Scotstoun this coming season.

“I’d like to thank Al for his guidance over the past few years. He leaves strong foundations in place and an incredible network around us and I’m committed to delivering for everyone connected to the club.”

Al Kellock, outgoing Managing Director, said: “I take enormous pride from the time I’ve spent as Managing Director, and it’s been a privilege to lead the club I love for the last four and a half years.

“I want to thank our players, people, commercial partners and most importantly our supporters for their incredible commitment and passion throughout this time. I’d like to give special thanks to our captain Kyle Steyn for his leadership and example in driving standards every day.

“Having worked closely with Kenny for a number of years, I know he has the leadership, vision, and deep understanding of what makes this club special. His experience across rugby operations, development, and strategic management means he’s exceptionally well-placed to take Glasgow Warriors forward.

“Most importantly, Kenny cares deeply about our players, staff, and supporters, and I have every confidence he will continue to drive the club to even greater success.

“I’m excited to start my new position as Head of Performance Pathways with Scottish Rugby and am passionate about ensuring that their new structure gives every player the best chance to succeed.

“I want players and parents to have a clear understanding of what a journey through the pathway looks like and while not every player will make it, I want Scottish Rugby to be world leading in providing dual paths for our young players.”
