Bean selected for Babcock Trophy
Glasgow Warriors second-rower Lewis Bean will represent the British Army in the biggest match of the 2022 Inter-Service Championship this weekend, after being named in the starting XV for Saturday afternoon’s Babcock Trophy match against the Royal Navy.
The 30-year-old, a corporal in 2 Rifles, has previously played in the fixture throughout his professional career, including in the 100th anniversary of the fixture back in 2017.
Bean has made 16 appearances for the Warriors since initially arriving on loan in the 2020/21 season, scoring three tries in Glasgow colours to date.
Kicking off at 2pm, the match will be streamed live on BFBS TV, Radio and the Forces News YouTube channel.
