Playing Their Part
Supporting front-line workers, keeping the power on and making sure staff spirits remain high - find out how the Glasgow Warriors family of Sponsors and Partners have been Playing Their Part in recent weeks.
SP Energy Networks
The vital work of our Official Community Partner is continuing nationwide during the ongoing COVID-19 situation, as SP Energy Networks ensure that the lights are kept on for 3.5 million customers across the country.
Operational engineers will still be visible
out and about across the country; however, please be assured this is because
the work being carried out is absolutely essential, and additional safety and
social distancing measures are in place.
Local charities have also been benefitting from their help, as more people than ever rely on the work carried out across the UK.
Food Train is one such charity, having received funding for nine electric vehicles courtesy of the SP Energy Networks Green Economy Fund to help them deliver food to individuals across Scotland.
For those who might need a little extra help during this
time, you can sign up to their Priority Services Register.

Glasgow Airport
Scotland’s principal long-haul airport has been showing its support for the NHS in recent weeks, with Glasgow Airport converting their long-term car park into a drive-through COVID-19 testing facility.
The centre is exclusively open to NHS front-line workers and operates on an appointment-only basis, co-ordinated by the NHS itself.
Staff have also been getting involved with the Clap for Carers movement, including an impressive display on one of the airport’s runways.
Our Long Stay Car Park, located on Abbotsinch Road, has been transformed into a pop-up drive-thru COVID-19 testing facility.
The testing centre is open to front-line NHS workers only and will operate on an appointment basis.

Harper Macleod
Harper
Macleod Partner David Kaye was part of an Apprentice-style task to help with
one element of preparing the new Glasgow NHS Louisa Jordan hospital at the SEC for
an influx of patients.
As
many patients using the hospital will have arrived with nothing, CEO Jill Young wanted to provide care bags in advance which would
include essential toiletries as well as nightwear such as pyjamas, shorts and
t-shirts.
David was incredibly successful in sourcing these essential items, including 14,000 items donated from high-street retailers. Indeed, the extent of the appeal’s success has seen some of
the items sent to other NHS hospitals across Scotland.
HM, through @DavidKayeHM, was delighted to help the @NHSLouisaJordan campaign to source essential items for patients. A big thanks to all those who responded to the call with such generosity, particularly M&S & New Look for thousands of items of clothing. https://t.co/L8Ac96CIGZ

Kooltech
Kooltech are another of our family of Sponsors and Partners to be lending their support to the NHS during the ongoing pandemic, providing equipment to help a COVID-19 test centre get on its feet.
We recently got in touch with GLSI to offer our help providing a Mitsubishi Electric M Series system free of charge so that the lab can get up & running. We’re pleased that we can help both GLSI & the #NHS in getting this test lab operational to fight COVID-19 #keepitkooltech https://t.co/Zo9iJYvW4j

The Park Practice
Finally, The Park Practice have been continuing their support of front-line workers in recent weeks by donating stocks of personal protective equipment (PPE) to those in need.
The latest donation was made to David Cargill House this week, with gloves, hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes from both the practice’s own stocks and Scottish Dental Association donations handed over to the Glasgow nursing home.
