Playing Their Part
The Glasgow Warriors family of sponsors and partners has been hard at work to help front-line workers and those most in-need in recent weeks - we've highlighted just a snapshot of some of the great initiatives that have been taking place over the last few weeks.
SP Energy Networks
The club’s official community partner SP Energy Networks has
been keeping the lights on for 3.5 million customers across the country.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, their essential and critical
work to maintain and manage their resilient electricity network to keep the
power flowing will continue. Their operational engineers will still be visible
out and about across the country; however, please be assured this is because
the work being carried out is absolutely essential, and additional safety and
social distancing measures are in place.
Now more than ever, millions of people are relying on their
teams to power our homes, hospitals, care homes and supermarkets.
SP Energy Networks has also teamed up with Glasgow’s Golden
Generation to support the communities we serve, to help keep the Glasgow’s
elderly remain connected.
For those who might need a little extra help during this
time, you can sign up to SP Energy Networks Priority Services Register.

One of several brands nationwide to be adapting their production models to help battle the ongoing pandemic, Land Rover have been hard at work to lend assistance to the NHS in recent weeks.
The Jaguar Land Rover production lines have been working on 3D-printed protective visors for key healthcare workers, with over 1,300 produced to date.
#JaguarLandRover has started production of @NHSuk approved, 3D-printed protective visors to answer the call for more vital equipment. Initially we will print 1,300 visors each week for keyworkers, with the aspiration to develop the operation for mass production. pic.twitter.com/7shasKSa7P

Harper Macleod
With the current government guidelines meaning an increase in the number of people working from home, one club sponsor has set up a unique way of ensuring their stakeholders and communities remain connected.
The Harper Macleod Home Room aims to provide a community hub, with a focus on mental and physical well-being alongside practical guides and tips for working remotely.
There’s even fitness videos from Glasgow Warriors’ own S&C coach Liam Walshe that can easily be followed at home.
Get ready to keep that self-care momentum up with #hmhomeroom.@GlasgowWarriors Strength & Conditioning Coach @LiamWalshe7‘s workout.
Pro tip: No equipment? No problem! Fill a backpack with books as a weight!

Malcolm Group
Long-term club sponsors Malcolm Group have been making an impact at home and abroad, as the Glasgow-based logistics and construction company look to do their bit to help flatten the curve.
A donation of supplies was gratefully received by the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, whilst a Malcolm lorry was donated to Transaid in Zambia to help the distribution of medicine in the country.
Despite the travel restrictions that many of us are currently facing, this truck is on its way to Zambia!
