Kick-off times confirmed for Edinburgh derbies

The Guinness PRO14 has confirmed the dates and kick-off times for next month’s double-header with Edinburgh at BT Murrayfield, as the countdown to rugby’s return continues.

Glasgow
Warriors will return to action on Saturday 22 August for round 15 of the
shortened 2019/20 Guinness PRO14, five months after their previous run-out in
the competition.

The first of
two back-to-back meetings with Edinburgh, the Warrior Nation will be able to
watch the match live on Premier Sports with kick-off at 5pm.

Danny
Wilson’s men will then be the designated home side for the second clash, as
Glasgow Warriors play their first ‘home’ clash in the capital since 2016.

The match
will kick-off at 7.35pm on Friday 28 August, with supporters once again able to
watch live on Premier Sports.

Reacting to
the news, Glasgow Warriors Head Coach Danny Wilson said: “We’re looking forward
to these games against Edinburgh. Scottish derbies are the types of games we
want be involved in.

“We entered
into phase two of training this week. It’s been great to have the boys back and
to start introducing a ball into training.

“We still
mathematically have an opportunity to qualify for the semi-finals and we will
be going into these games with the goal of doing just that.

“It’ll be
great to get back out there and playing rugby.”
