Brandon Thomson confirms Warriors departure

South African fly-half Brandon Thomson will leave Glasgow Warriors to return to the country of his birth at the end of February.

Signing with Toyota Cheetahs – who have competed in the Guinness PRO14 in recent seasons – Thomson will make the switch on 1 March 2021.

Thomson told glasgowwarriors.org: “I’m really excited to be heading back to South Africa.

“I’ve loved my time at Warriors. It’s going to be tough saying goodbye to an amazing club with an awesome family culture and some pretty amazing fans.

“I’m looking forward to what the future holds playing for the Cheetahs back home.”
