Glasgow Warriors will open the inaugural United Rugby Championship campaign with a trip to Belfast in just a month’s time, as Danny Wilson’s squad travels to the Kingspan Stadium to take on Ulster on Friday 27 September (kick-off 7.35pm).

A mouth-watering home double-header will then see the Warrior Nation welcome their side back to Scotstoun for a first competitive outing since February 2020, starting with the visit of the Cell C Sharks to Glasgow on Saturday 2 October (kick-off 3pm).

It will then be the turn of the Emirates Lions to make the trip to Scotstoun just a week later, with the Warriors welcoming the men from Johannesburg on Saturday 9 October (kick-off 3pm).

An away clash with Zebre on Saturday 16 October (kick-off 1pm) then follows, before Leinster arrive at Scotstoun on Saturday 23 October (kick-off 3pm) in the final match before the new break for the Autumn Nations Series.

The Warriors will return from the international break with a visit to Benetton on Saturday 27 November (kick-off 1pm), with Wilson’s men then taking on the Dragons at Scotstoun on Saturday 4 December (kick-off 5.15pm).

It will then be the turn of the annual 1872 Cup festive double-header to take centre stage, with Glasgow hosting the opening match of the 2021/22 series at Scotstoun on Monday 27 December (kick-off 7pm) before travelling to BT Murrayfield for the return leg on Sunday 2 January (kick-off 2pm).

The Ospreys will be Scotstoun’s ‘first footers’ for 2022, as the Liberty Stadium outfit arrive in Glasgow’s west end on Saturday 8 January (kick-off 5.15pm).

A round 11 trip to Galway sees the Warriors take on Connacht, before breaking for the first two rounds of the 2022 Guinness Six Nations.

A home tie with Benetton and a visit to the Scarlets are scheduled for the fallow weekends in the Guinness Six Nations calendar, with Cardiff then hosting the Warriors following the conclusion of the international block.

The Warriors will then host Zebre at Scotstoun in round 15, before a brace of South African away clashes with the DHL Stormers and the Vodacom Bulls.

Wilson’s squad then finish the season in front of the Warrior Nation, welcoming Munster to Scotstoun for the final weekend of the regular season.

Exact dates and kick-off times for rounds 11-18 will be confirmed in due course by the URC.
