Supporter Update | Al Kellock
Glasgow Warriors Managing Director Al Kellock gives an update to supporters after Tuesday's (21 December) First Minister announcement on the latest Scottish Government guidance.
Dear Glasgow Warriors family,
On behalf of the club, I hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy this festive season.
Further to this afternoon’s announcement by the Scottish Government, we regrettably must confirm that our 1872 Cup match against Edinburgh on Monday 27 December (kick-off 7pm) will now be played for all intents and purposes spectator-free.
We understand that this will come as a disappointment to many, as our fixtures with Edinburgh are always amongst those greeted with the highest anticipation by all associated with the club. However, the health and wellbeing of everyone across the country is paramount.
Further information will be communicated in due course to all Season Ticket Members and match-ticket purchasers. In addition, we will communicate with you at a later date about our fixture with Ospreys.
In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you back to Scotstoun as soon as we are given the green light to do so. You remain a true credit to the club, as seen by the incredible support you gave to Glasgow NW Foodbank through your donations last weekend – Thank you.
I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year, and I look forward to seeing you all back at Scotstoun again soon.
Yours faithfully,
Al Kellock
