Glasgow Warriors 2022/23 Awards set for Sunday 23 April
As Glasgow Warriors’ historic unbeaten run in the BKT United Rugby Championship and EPCR Challenge Cup continues, now at 10 games, the Club are delighted to confirm their Annual Awards Dinner will return this April.
Celebrating the very best of Glasgow Warriors, the 2022/23 Awards sponsored by The Malcolm Group will be held at Hilton Glasgow once again. Scotland’s very own league and European sports broadcaster Emma Dodds, returns as host for a second year.
The black-tie event begins from 6.30pm on Sunday 23 April, and culminates with the fan-voted McCrea Financial Services Player of the Season being crowned. The 1872 Cup trophy will be on display as guests arrive, continuing its 150th anniversary celebrations.
Another eight awards will be presented throughout the three-course meal. Meanwhile, guests will be able to donate money to the raffle for the Club’s chosen charities. These are Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, The Wooden Spoon, and Hearts and Balls.
Glasgow Warriors Managing Director, Al Kellock, said: “Our annual awards are the perfect opportunity for the Warrior Nation, our sponsors and partners, players and coaches to come together and celebrate the achievements of the Club, on the pitch and in our community, and bid farewell to those moving on.
“2022/23 has been a fantastic year so far. We’ve won the 150th anniversary 1872 Cup, had historic achievements on the pitch, and so many of our squad are featuring and performing well for the national team. There’s still lots to come as well.
“With the Awards scheduled for the weekend of our last regular game in the BKT URC, we’re working hard to make sure there are a plenty more weekends of rugby to follow this showcase.
