What’s On | Plaster It Purple
We're turning Scotstoun Stadium purple this Friday night, as we Plaster It Purple for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, supported by Leidos.
Doors open at 6pm for the BKT United Rugby Championship Round 17 match with Scarlets, and supporters are encouraged to come down early to make the most of the night.
Once again, we’re delighted to be supporting the hospital and bidding to better last year’s fundraising total. The aim is to raise £15,000.
Already Leidos have committed to donate £1 for every seat sold.
There’s lots planned from when gates open at 6pm, up until kick-off at 7.35pm.
The Warrior Nation and travelling support can look forward to:
-
- The Back Green Band are back with their pop classics
- On the artificial pitch at the west side of the stadium is the inflatable zone for children and adults to enjoy. This zone has a Batak Wall, Bungee Run, Tacklometer, and Rugby Darts.
- In support of the charity, the inflatable area will be run on a Donate to Play basis. Supporters are encouraged to contribute to the collection buckets when taking part. Contactless donations can be taken too.
- United Rugby Championship title sponsor BKT will also have a passing challenge to enjoy. Situated in the inflatable zone supporters will be able to take home recorded memories of their best efforts.
Specially designed Plaster It Purple flags will be being handed out to supporters on arrival. The winning designs have been chosen by the hospital and Leidos.
This week’s SP Energy Networks Community rugby games will involve U12 girls teams from Lenzie, Dalziel, Ayr, Strathendrick and Marr.
Finally, we’re encouraging supporters to come along in purple. The players will play in purple socks during the game. Also, during pre-match warm up in their dedicated #PlasterItPurple training tops.
