Seven Warriors prospects named for Scotland U20 clash
Scotland U20 Head Coach Kenny Murray has named seven Glasgow Warriors academy talents in his matchday 23 to take on Wales this Friday, as the U20 Six Nations resumes this weekend.
Murray’s squad will be looking to register their first victory of the campaign, as they host the men in red in their final home outing of the 2025 championship.
All seven of the Warriors selected have featured in every game of the competition to date, including Joe Roberts at hooker, who featured in a Glasgow Warriors matchday 23 for the first time in the home win over Connacht at the end of January.
Ollie McKenna joins Roberts in the starting front-row, whilst Dan Halkon packs down in the engine room for the fourth successive match.
Behind the scrum, an all-Glasgow 10/12 axis sees Matt Urwin named at fly-half, with Kerr Yule lining up at inside centre.
Fergus Watson is selected on the wing, the Biggar product having scored Scotland’s opening try in their last home outing against Ireland in round two.
Jake Shearer completes the Glasgow cohort, the Ayr loose-head named amongst the replacements for Friday’s clash.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7.15 on Friday night, with tickets still available at scottishrugby.org.
