Thank you for your support to the campaigns we ran in support of our local community throughout December.

Dear Warrior Nation,

Thank you for your support to the campaigns we ran in support of our local community throughout December.

We were delighted to raise £730 from our Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity bucket collection at the 1872 Cup fixture, with Edinburgh, on 23 December. Also, we were thrilled to be back visiting the children at the hospital once again earlier in the month.

Now, we’re gearing up for the Plaster Scotstoun Purple game in April (against Scarlets on Friday 14 April, kick-off 7.35pm). Planning is underway, and we look forward to sharing more details of plans for the night soon.

Kirsten Watson, CEO for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity shared us with: “The generous spirit of the Warriors family once again warmed our hearts on a cold night at Scotstoun.

“The excellent result on the field was matched by the amazing amount raised by the fans, which will make such a difference to children in hospital here in Glasgow.

“On behalf of our patients and their families, thank you to everyone who gave so generously.”

That night, the club were also delighted to deliver a full van of non-perishable items for the Heart of Scotstoun Community Centre, which will be given to families in need throughout winter in the G14 postcode.

The Heart of Scotstoun Manager, Amanda Quinn, said: “Thank you Glasgow Warriors, SP Energy Networks and to you, the Warrior Nation, for the amazing food collection. This will help the families and individuals in our community who are facing challenging times. #nooneshouldgowithout. Huge thanks team HoS ❤️.”

Way back at the start of December,15 players supported Social Bite’s Festival of Kindness. Over 300 gifts were given and more than £200 of donations were taken on the day.

We’re grateful for your generosity, at a time of year that can be very challenging for many in our community. Thank you.

This month, we’re continuing our drive to support Doddie Aid, with Ryan Wilson captain of Team West. Thanks to those of you who took part in our Cycle a Kilometre challenge in the Clubhouse last Friday night.

In the coming days there will be more opportunities to support Doddie Aid. Keep an eye on our channels for more details.

Yours faithfully,

GLASGOW WARRIORS
