SP Energy Network’s Championship Round Up

SP Energy Network’s Championship Round Up

Double round up this week with the rearranged Round 3 and the final qualification round having taken place.

Round three was rearranged due to poor weather on the initial date.  Largs Academy, Belmont Academy and Montrose Academy, all fielded teams in an attempt to make the semi-finals.  Both Largs and Belmont have taken part before and this was the first year that Montrose have attended the Championship.

The day was an all round success with a few players including Ali Price and Ryan Wilson making an appearance to see players.  Wilson also hosted round two of the Mullet competition on TikTok much to the delight of several players.

At the end of the day it was Largs Academy who stormed ahead to victory and secured their place in the Semi-Final.

Round six took place on Tuesday 28 March with the final semi-final place up for grabs.  Charleston Academy, Fortrose Academy, Stonelaw High School and St Thomas Aquinas all took part. This was the first time competing for both Charleston and Fortrose.

Stonelaw High School were declared champions at the end of the competition and took the last space for the semi-finals.

The semi-final will take place at Scotstoun on Tuesday 18 April.  The schools that have qualified for the semi-final are;

Balfron Strathkendrick
Marr College
Falkirk High School
Wallace High School
Largs Academy
Stonelaw High School

The top two teams will go on to compete in the final the following week, Tuesday 25 April.
