Scotstoun sold out for Ulster clash
Glasgow Warriors will play Ulster in front of a sold out Scotstoun Stadium this evening when they return to BKT United Rugby Championship action after a two week break for the Guinness Six Nations. The match kicks off at 7.35pm.
The club expects a capacity crowd in the stands to cheer on their side in round 14 of the league. A win in this match would not only allow them to continue their nine-game, so far, unbeaten run, but would also lift them into the top four, as we enter into the business end of the season.
To qualify for play-offs teams must finish in the top eight. The top four sides secure a home quarter-final in April.
Currently, in fifth place with 39 points Ulster sit two places higher with 43 points. Therefore, a bonus point win would see Glasgow overtake their opponents.
On selling out Scotstoun, Managing Director, Al Kellock said: “Thank you to the Warrior Nation helping us to sell out Scotstoun Stadium for tonight’s game.
“I’m personally looking forward to this clash. As we look to continue our nine-game unbeaten run against one of the league’s top sides. The match-action and noise in the stands shouldn’t be missed.
“There is plenty going on around the stadium before hand. I’d encourage you all to come down early and soak up the atmosphere with the gates now open (6pm).”
Please note with the match now sold out there will be no walk up facility for anyone wanting to purchase a ticket. The ticket office at the Stadium will remain open for anyone already with a ticket who may require assistance.
