SP Energy Networks
The Official Community Partner of Glasgow Warriors, SP Energy Networks’ team of engineers have been continuing their essential work across the country as they keep the power running for over 3.5 million customers nationwide.
SP Energy Networks have come together with other industry leaders, as part of the Energy & Utilities Skills Partnership, to launch the 2020- 2025 Workforce Renewal & Skills Strategy committing to building an effective, sustainable and resilient workforce which reflects the diversity of the communities it serves.
Also, on Monday 8 June their partnership with Forth Valley College was announced, providing home schooling for nursery and primary school pupils with innovative Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths learning resources.
Club partner intu Braehead have been hard at work sourcing and donating PPE and cleaning supplies to the Accord and St Vincent Hospices, and the Ronald McDonald House Glasgow.
With the help of Hotel Chocolat, intu Braehead also donated over 100 boxes of luxury chocolates to the critical care team at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to help keep their energy levels up.
Kit sponsor Ledios recently donated 35 laptops to local charities and schoolchildren in Aberdeen to overcome challenges posed by COVID-19.
Laptops were donated to children’s charity Charlie House to help provide on-line support to young people with life limiting illnesses, North East Rider Volunteers Scotland (NERVS) to aid in the delivery of vital items and medication between locations and to vulnerable people, and to Aberdeen City Council to support home schooling of those who don’t have access to technology and online learning tools at home.
