Horne claims November Warrior of the Month award
George Horne has claimed the McCrea Financial Services Warrior of the Month award for November, after emerging victorious from a supporters’ vote on the club’s official Twitter account.
It is the third time the scrum-half has walked away with the monthly award, having previously taken home the prize in November
2017 and January 2018.
41% of votes cast were in favour of the former Howe of Fife man, with Horne chosen over fellow nominees Adam Hastings, Zander
Fagerson and Fraser Brown.
The Scotland international’s highlight of November came in the 31-7 victory away to Zebre, crossing for a brace of tries in
the club’s bonus-point win over the men from Parma.
McCrea Financial Services client Gordon Storrar was on hand to present Horne with his award at Scotstoun after winning an exclusive competition for McCrea clients, as the squad continues its preparations
for this weekend’s clash with La Rochelle in the Heineken Champions Cup.
Speaking upon receiving his award, Horne said: “It’s great to be back playing for Glasgow. I’m really enjoying my rugby at
the moment and I’m loving being back at Scotstoun.
“Thanks to all of the fans that voted for me, too – I really appreciate everyone’s support and it’s great to have that support
at your back on game day.”
