Glasgow Warriors team up with Whiteinch foodbank
Glasgow Warriors will be giving back to the local community this festive season, teaming up with a Whiteinch foodbank to help those in need over the Christmas period.
The foodbank – run by Whiteinch Church of Scotland – aims to reach and support the most in-need members of the community, distributing
emergency food parcels as well as providing a drop-in service for those in the local community.
As part of the club’s support, players and staff will be donating to the foodbank ahead of Saturday’s meeting with La Rochelle
at Scotstoun.
Supporters attending the match are also being encouraged to donate – collection points will be open around the stadium from
3.30pm on Saturday afternoon until kick-off at 5.15pm.

What can I donate?
Based on advice from staff at the foodbank, we would suggest the following items should supporters wish to donate at Saturday’s
match:
Domestic products
Toilet Rolls
Ladies & Gents Toiletries – hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, deodorant
Baby items – milk, jars of food, dried milk, nappies, snacks,
Food and drink
Cereal – all varieties
Tinned meals, especially Fray Bentos – chilli, mince, steak, curries, chicken casserole, meatballs, full breakfast, hotdogs. These can often feed an entire family.
Tinned fish – tuna, salmon, mackerel
Tinned meat – ham, chicken, corned beef,
Tinned puddings – rice, custard,
Tinned fruit – pears. peaches, fruit cocktail
Tinned rice and pasta – dried rice and pasta can often be too expensive to cook for those in need
Crisps
Soup – all varieties
Tea – including decaf
Coffee – including decaf
Hot chocolate
Sugar
UHT milk
Diluting juice or cartons of juice
Christmas Items
