Glasgow Warriors Clubhouse closed for The Famous Grouse Pre-Season Friendly
Glasgow Warriors have been informed by Glasgow Life that the Clubhouse, Scotstoun’s Outdoor Hall, has been temporarily closed and will not be re-opened ahead of Saturday’s (30 September) The Famous Grouse Pre-Season Friendly.
Glasgow Life’s statement reads: “We are in the process of carrying out inspections of buildings from the period when RAAC was used in construction and reviewing plans. A review of plans shows the presence of RAAC at Cardonald Library and in the Outdoor Hall at Scotstoun. These venues have been temporarily closed to the public and we are now in the process of appointing structural engineers to carry out a further inspection to determine any action required. Drumchapel Pool, which is currently closed for refurbishment, has also been identified as containing RAAC and will be further assessed by structural engineers.”
The public bar in the Clubhouse will now be moved to the Business Club area on the indoor track at the west end of the main stand. The bar will be open to all ticket holders when gates open at 4.30pm.
Until the structural review is completed there is no further information on when the hall may re-open. Further communication will be issued if there are longer term implications for match days at Scotstoun Stadium.
