Josh McKay is named the player of the match.
Not a classic. But a win on the road. Two quickfire tries at the beginning of the second half are enough to get the job done in Parma.
Glasgow go through the phases inside the Zebre half but make no ground, the home side’s defence is good and eventually they win a turnover penalty.
Glasgow win a penalty in midfield and kick to the corner. The line out is sloppy but Warriors keep possession and attack from just outside Zebre’s 22.
Johnny Matthews replaces Gregor Hiddleston and Facundo Cordero returns after his earlier cameo replacing Sebastian Cancelliere.
It’s been all Zebre since Glasgow scored their second but the visitors win a big scrum penalty on their own try line, relieving the pressure and setting up an attacking platform down field.
Zebre send another penalty into Glasgow’s 22 and are looking for the try to take them within a score.
The Zebre maul trundles towards the line and the hosts look as if they’re going to score their first try. It splinters and falls just short and Stafford manages to steal the ball inside the goal line and Warriors will clear with a drop out.
Since returning to XV the home side have settled and are looking more like the team they were in the first 40. They win a penalty inside the Glasgow 22 and decide to send it to the corner.
Rory Darge replaces Sione Vailanu. Sean Kennedy comes on for Ollie Smith, Kyle Steyn moves into midfield and Jamie Dobie shifts to the wing.
Sebba has passed his HIA and comes back on to the field.
Whatever was said at half time had an impact. Warriors now making ground with every carry. Sam Talakai gets in on the action, breaking through a tackle and running straight at the full back, taking play up to 5m out. Dobie provides quick ball and Stafford McDowall hits a hard line right under the posts. Conversion is good.
Kyle Steyn hits the line hard and breaks through. Off quick ball Euan Ferrie is next to find a gap and Warriors look dangerous. The ball is flung wide, back to Steyn, who is dragged down just short of the line. Glasgow are dragged into touch off the next phase but looking much improved after the break.
Warriors have their break through and it’s Josh McKay diving in the corner on his return from injury. Tom Jordan’s first action is to knock over the wide conversion. Glasgow lead.
Patrick Schickerling, Sam Talakai, Max Williamson and Tom Jordan are on for Jamie Bhatti, Fin Richardson, Jare Oguntibeju and Adam Hastings.
Zebre second row Matteo Canali is sent to the bin for a head on head shot on Sebastian Cancelliere. The winger needs to go for a HIA and is replaced by Facundo Cordero.
Adam Hastings kicks off what has become a huge 40 minutes for Glasgow’s season.
A big improvement required in the second 40
Glasgow go through the phases inside the Zebre 22 but the home side’s defence holds solid and they win a jackal turnover to end the half.
Glasgow attack down the right and Josh McKay nearly collects his kick through but it’s kicked clear. The referee brings play back for an earlier Zebre infringement and Warriors send the ball to the corner looking to get on the board with the clock in the red.
Into the closing stages of the first half and still Jamie Dobie’s earlier snipe is the most dangerous Warriors have looked. They are awarded a penalty on half way but miss touch and again the hosts can attack.
Zebre add to the score board after Glasgow go off their feet.
The hosts have been by far the better team for the first quarter of this game. They return a loose kick with purpose and show some nice play down the right wing, only to lose the ball forward as they dive for the line. Glasgow scrum.
Glasgow’s fly half is able to continue playing, returning to the field with his ankle strapped.
The ball was dropped as it was being grounded, completely unopposed, a real let off for Glasgow.
The hosts break down the wing and Glasgow’s defence has to scramble. The ball is recycled quickly and Zebre touch down under the posts. The referee immediately asks the TMO to have another look however…
Glasgow can’t find a way though the defensive line, especially without their fly half who has hobbled to the touchline as play continues.
The hosts are awarded a scrum penalty and send the ball up to Glasgow’s 22. They win the line out and look to attack off the maul.
Jamie Dobie snipes from the breakdown and slips through the line, he steps one defender and only has the full back to beat but the ball is dislodged and goes forward. Zebre scrum but the most dangerous Glasgow have looked so far.
Warriors launch a wide attach off a midfield scrum but again the hosts get over the ball at the breakdown to earn a turnover and clear their lines. Warriors yet to properly threaten.
The hosts take the lead with a simple 3 from in front.
Warriors fluff the line out but are awarded a scrum. Off the base they pick and go and go through some promising phases but eventually concede the penalty and Zebre clear to ease pressure.
Glasgow are yet to get much ball in hand, they steal a few Zebre line outs and twice kick deep into the home side’s territory but the ball gets sent straight back. Eventually Warriors are awarded a penalty on halfway which gets sent into the 22.
The hosts get us underway. Let’s go Glasgow!
Both teams are on the field and kick-off is just moments away. Bulls’ victory over Munster earlier this evening means that Warriors can secure a home URC Quarter Final with victory in Parma.
