Our next match is in Edinburgh next week in the second leg of the 1872 Cup. Kick off is 3pm, earlier in the day we have our first ever Glasgow Warrior’s Women’s game in Hive Stadium at 12 noon.

Glasgow keep Edinburgh pinned back after the loose line out, and finally they can’t find an exit so send the ball out.
Edinburgh penalised at the breakdown, right on their own line. Another kick to the corner and the East Stand are in full voice!
Ben Afshar kicks a perfect 50-22, and places Glasgow ten metres from Edinburgh’s line. A chance for a bonus point try.

Horne converts, 22-10
Glasgow playing some lovely rugby in loose play here. The backs and forwards working well in support to move it around the fringes of Edinburgh’s on coming defenders. Finally, a wide ball to Ally Miller who is sitting on the North Stand wing, is wide open and he runs in for his second club try in two weeks.
Another opportunity to attack the line out maul.
Ben Afshar comes on for Kyle Rowe. He goes to scrum half and George Horne moves to the wing. Other recent changes.
Johnny Matthews makes a break from the wayward Edinburgh line out. Making 30 metres he then gets the ball away to the supporting Tom Jordan who kicks it through.
Edinburgh gather and clear under pressure. Line out, halfway.
Horne slots the conversion and Glasgow move back in front. 15-10
Glasgow’s patience pays off. The maul try is successful on the fifth attempt, and there is no doubt who is appearing from the bottom of that pile of bodies.

Another two penalties handed to Glasgow on the five metre line and it’s second row Grant Gilchrist who is sent to the bin.
Tom Jordan puts Glasgow back on the Edinburgh five metre line.
The line out is lost, and cleared by Price. So it’s another Glasgow line out, this stime from the Edinburgh ten metre line.
Another penalty to Glasgow at the maul. They drive fast towards the line, but Edinburgh illegally disrupt the drive. Thompson puts them back in the corner. Here comes line out number two and the fans start the We Are Warriors chant.
Ross Thompson pins Glasgow right into Edinburgh five metre line after, the Edinburgh forwards are caught of side defending George Horne’s box kick.
Glasgow win a penalty line out on halfway. The majority of the game has been played here in the second half with neither team able to find space.
Some feisty exchanges at the ruck, as Edinburgh look to move the ball about the park. However, a knocked ball sees Glasgow win the scrum, on the edge of their own 22.
Edinburgh move in front from the penalty. 8-10
Edinburgh will have another opportunity to attack, as Sione Vailanu is penalised for being offside. Healy goes for the posts.
Edinburgh working through the phases, edging closer to the Glasgow try line. Healy tries a chip over the defence line, but is taken out and the ball rolls out.
Edinburgh look to exit their own 22 after Rory Darge spilled the ball.
Healy clears and McKay collects he then sends Huw Jones into space.
We are back underway once more!
Another Edinburgh penalty gives them territory, but an unforced error from Ali Price brings the half to a close.
Brilliant from McKay as he rises above everyone to claim the high ball.
Cries from the crowd as Rowe looks to be taken out, but nothing given – Edinburgh in possession on halfway.
Healy’s penalty sails wide and Glasgow restart quickly.
Healy misses to the left and it’s a 22 to Glasgow.
This time Edinburgh get the decision, and Healy will go for the sticks.
Thompson’s restart is caught by the wind and sails straight out on the full – scrum on halfway to the visitors.
Eventually the visitors find the way through – phase after phase of battering away eventually sees WP Nel make the final yard and touch down.
Healy converts to make it a one-point game.

Great work from Jones, who races all the way across the pitch to defuse a cross-kick from Healy.
It comes at the expense of a lineout on the Glasgow 22.
Turner can’t continue, so Johnny Matthews comes off the bench to replace him.
McDowall thumps it long and finds touch on halfway.
There’s a stoppage as Turner is down receiving treatment.
Spilled in contact by the Warriors, and Price goes long with the kick.
Thompson goes for the space, but the ball bounces the wrong way from Glasgow’s perspective and it’s a goal line drop out.
Gray gathers 30m from the Edinburgh line and Glasgow attack.
Price tries the kick ahead but McKay reads it well and beats two defenders.
He then beats a whole lot more as he rips through a gap created by Tuipulotu.
Canny play by Thompson, as he sticks a grubber in behind off the back of Tuipulotu’s carry.
Edinburgh lineout on their own 10m line.
Back come the visitors again, but again the Glasgow defence is solid.
Fagerson cleans up a half blocked kick, though, and Horne clears.
Wes Goosen spills the ball in contact and Glasgow have the scrum.
Darge doesn’t get the full turnover, but he starts it and Turner and Vailanu finish the job!
McDowall finds touch just inside his own half.

This time it’s Edinburgh who get the penalty, as Glasgow are penalised for a neck roll.
Healy finds touch 30m from the Glasgow line.

Great wheels from the big man and Glasgow are motoring again.
Glasgow go wide from the restart and Schoeman is pinged for not rolling away.
Thompson finds touch on halfway.
Thompson can’t quite bring the conversion back around, so it remains an 8-0 lead.
The Warriors strike first!
The line break and offload through the middle comes from Darge and Turner, and the pack go close.
Advantage in hand, Tuipulotu and McDowall flip it to McKay, who pops it over the top to Kyle Rowe for the run-in!
Vailanu back up and about again and straight back into the thick of things.

Superb lineout from Turner as he picks out Gray, and Vailanu charges off the back peel.
Healy is penalised for a no-arms tackle and Thompson takes play up to 30m from the Edinburgh line.
And again from Bhatti!
The loose-head and Fagerson get the squeeze on and the penalty is awarded, Thompson finding touch just on his own 10m line.
Almost a chance at both ends!
Huw Jones almost gets the chip ahead through, but Graham reads and hacks downfield himself.
The bounce evades everyone, but Edinburgh restart with a scrum after a knock-on by Thompson as he tried to regather 15m from his own line.
Horne returns once more, and Price knocks on as he tries to gather an offload from Currie.

Back underway as Thompson thumps the kick long, and Price feeds Duhan van der Merwe.
Healy’s chip is overcooked and goes out on the full though, and Glasgow have the lineout on the 10m line.
Good coverage from Stafford McDowall, as the centre is patient and grounds a grubber in behind by Healy for a goal line drop out.
There’s a stoppage here as Fagerson receives some treatment.

Horne then fells Matt Currie and Vailanu thunders through the ruck – another win for the Glasgow defence.
The wind causes havoc from the restart and Darcy Graham does enough to bat it back to the visitors.
Ali Price gets the men in white moving on the Glasgow 22, as Bhatti meets his man in midfield.
Up go the flags and Thompson opens the scoring!

Horne then chips again, and Edinburgh will restart with a scrum as Pierre Schoeman runs into referee Sam Grove-White.
