Clan N.E.W.S November

Clan N.E.W.S November

It’s the start of a new month so that means that is it time for another instalment of Clan N.E.W.S.

If you’re new here, then Clan N.E.W.S, is where we update you on all our Clan activity that has happened during the previous month and tell you everything that is coming up.

With Christmas fast approaching (dare we start thinking about it), Clan activity is ramping up.  November is set to be a busy month for our Warriors to be getting out into the local community.

But first, let’s recap what happened in October.

All the Clans had a visit to a local rugby club to help with the sessions.  This as always, involved coaching, jumping in alongside the young players and taking part and plenty of time to answer questions, sign autographs and take photos with the aspiring players.

Glasgow Warriors October Camps happened in which players dropped by to chat to the players and take photos and sign some autographs.

Finally, before we go through November, a massive well done to  Ruairidh Hart, Duncan Munn and Logan Jarvie for helping out MacKenzie team, with an indoor sponsored cycle which raised over £1000 for Wooden Spoon.

Hopefully the weather holds out for a lot of these Clan visits as Glasgow Accies, Marr RFC and Paisley RFC are having Clans come to visit their training sessions.

West Clan will be heading into town to visit the Childline Glasgow base.

The Warriors are also going to be working with Victoria Park Community Trust to help plant some trees over two different days.  A park where many of our local staff and players frequent and is a great chance for the club to be able to help right on their doorstep.

While many of the squad will be away to play the Ospreys on November 11, those not travelling will be at the Old Schoolhouse Official Fan Hub.  There will be a Q&A session with those players and a chance to watch the Warriors play with some of the team.

East Clan are also sending some players to Biggar High School to do a meet and greet with the pupils. This will allow pupils to ask questions of their rugby heroes and a chance to spend a school afternoon with them.

Finally, West Clan are going to be assisting at the SP Energy Networks Smart STEM Day. Giving the young participants a chance to ask them questions and take pictures.

That’s everything happening in the next month, and we look forward to updating you at the start of December.
