Privileged to Play for our community

Glasgow Warriors players Jamie Dobie and Euan Ferrie have met with club rugby players from across Glasgow, the West and Caledonia ahead of flying to South Africa for this weekend’s BKT United Rugby Championship final.

Women’s, men’s and youth players from Birkmyre, Ardrossan Accies, Cambuslang, Stirling County, Waysiders Drumpellier, Cartha Queens Park, Clydebank, Strathendrick, and Howe of Fife were invited to Scotstoun Stadium for the club to express its gratitude for the influence of the grassroots game on Glasgow Warriors.

The Warriors represent more than 100 grassroots clubs. Meeting the group, Jamie and Euan could draw inspiration from the Warrior Nation as preparations continue for the club’s fourth league final.

Euan said: “It’s such a privilege to be representing all the clubs from across our region. Coming from a Glasgow club myself I know that it means a lot when players visit. It’s a pleasure to have the chance to interact with some of the clubs we represent. And, hearing what us reaching the final means to them.”
