Jordan ready for final four showdown

Tom Jordan believes that Glasgow Warriors are ready to lay it all on the line in Saturday’s BKT United Rugby Championship Semi Final clash with Leinster, as Franco Smith’s men look to continue their title defence in Dublin this weekend.

The Scotland star was at the heart of the action to help guide the Warriors to a 36-18 victory over the DHL Stormers in last Friday’s Quarter Final, with an electric atmosphere at Scotstoun providing the backdrop as the men in black booked their place in the final four.

“It had been a long time between home games, so it was brilliant to get back out there and hear the Warrior Nation behind us,” Jordan told glasgowwarriors.org.

“The atmosphere was incredible – we looked back at some of our goal-line defensive sets in our review sessions earlier in the week, and you can see and hear how much the crowd was getting behind us.

“That level of support is special and it made a huge difference to us, so thank you to everyone that was there.”

A visit to the Aviva Stadium is the reward for Jordan and company, as table-topping Leinster welcome the Warriors to Dublin for the third time in 2025.

Jordan paid tribute to Saturday’s hosts, but insists that all the club’s focus will be on playing their own game when the whistle sounds for kick-off this weekend.

“We’ve had a couple of outings in Dublin already this year, so we know what we’re coming up against on Saturday,” said Jordan.

“We fully expect Leinster to bring their best and we know how strong they are across the field.

“We know we need to get our mindset right and just have each other’s back for 80 minutes – we’re loving our footy at the minute and we want to leave it all out there for each other on Saturday.”

Having travelled away to Irish opposition at the same stage 12 months ago, Smith’s men won’t have to delve too deeply into their minds for experience to draw upon ahead of Saturday’s showdown.

It’s an experience that Jordan believes will serve the squad well, as the Warriors get ready to hit the road once more in the BKT URC playoffs.

“All the players know deep down what we have to do,” he said.

“We’ve got to relish these matches and we know what it takes in this competition. Everyone’s excited to get out to Dublin, and we’re ready to get stuck in this weekend.”
