Yule to equal Scotland U20 cap record

Glasgow Warriors academy centre Kerr Yule will equal the Scotland U20 cap record this evening, after being named in the midfield to start his side’s World Rugby U20 Championship playoff match against Ireland in Verona.

The 20-year-old will win his 24th cap at U20 level to draw alongside former Scotland 7s standout Jamie Farndale, as well as continuing his run of nine consecutive appearances in the centres for Scotland U20.

Yule is one of nine Glasgow Warriors academy talents selected for the playoff match, as the matches to determine places from ninth to twelfth get underway in northern Italy.

Johnny Ventisei once again co-captains the squad from outside centre, forming an all-Glasgow midfield combination alongside Yule.

Fergus Watson lines up on the wing, whilst Matthew Urwin continues his impressive tournament thus far from the number 10 jersey.

Up front, Dylan Cockburn comes into the second row, having recently been announced as part of the Glasgow Warriors academy intake for 2025/26.

Seb Stephen starts at hooker after likewise being confirmed as part of the academy intake ahead of the new season, packing down alongside Glasgow team-mate Ollie McKenna in the front-row.

Two further Glasgow prospects await their opportunity from the replacements bench, as Joe Roberts and Jake Shearer wear numbers 16 and 18 respectively.

Supporters can watch the match live on RugbyPass TV from 5pm this evening.
