Already eliminated from European competition, Sale Sharks are not a side who will simply lie down and roll over; Steve Diamond’s men had made life tough for Glasgow in the return fixture at Scotstoun, with another hard-fought match on the horizon.

However, the Warrior Nation were ready to acclaim the return of a certain Leone Nakarawa to Glasgow colours following the Fijian’s return to the club just a fortnight earlier…
