Second-rower Lewis Bean joined Glasgow Warriors on loan in November 2020, making the trip north from English Premiership side Northampton Saints.
The 6ft 6in Yorkshireman has made 15 appearances for Northampton to date, having initially signed on trial with the men from Franklins Gardens.
Bean’s first try in Glasgow colours came in the club’s first match of 2021, the second-rower touching down against Edinburgh at BT Murrayfield.
He previously represented Worcester Warriors and Moseley, as well as Saints’ A team Northampton Wanderers.
Bean also served in the British Army as a Corporal in Second Batallion Rifles, going on two tours of Afghanistan and serving in Helmand Province and Kabul.
During his time in the Army, the second-rower played throughout the service’s age-grade rugby teams and was selected for the 100th anniversary Babcock Trophy match between the Army and the Navy at Twickenham in 2017.
He then helped the Army to victory in the 2022 edition of the fixture, starting in the second-row in front of a full house at Twickenham.
