Points Discussed
A request was made for more specialty coffee outlets. There is no plan to increase the two at this stage. Working with independent food outlets allows the operations team to be more adaptable game to game though, therefore, they are monitoring buying trends and where the pressure points are and can adapt if needed.
A request was made to consider handrails in the main stand. This has been passed to Glasgow Life for consideration.
Any issues with returning the new reusable cups or being able to take them home will be ironed out for future games.
A request was made to create a map of the various food outlets around the venue. This will be looked at in 2025, once the 1872 Cup matches are complete.
A request was made for a fan funded match day activation at Hampden, something like Munster’s Red Army flag. It was confirmed that there will be 5,000 flags handed out at Hampden for the game.
A request was made for matches to be shown on the till screens at the kiosks in the main stand. However, there is no functionality to do that right now.
The issue with the men’s cubicles locking in the north stand has been reported to Glasgow Life and a fix requested by Racing 92.
The process for accessible parking was shared, notably that it is a ballot system and unfortunately due to limited numbers of accessible spaces there is no automatic parking for blue badge holders. Supporters wishing to request accessible parking on match days must contact Event Manager, Robyn Struthers.
It was confirmed that food can be taken from the kiosks and East Fan Village to the Clubhouse.
It was noted that the LED boards are in the same position, and the same height as the previous static boards, also that where they are positioned is optimised for TV and to minimise the restricted view for supporters in the north stand. Supporters do feel however that the LED boards are more restrictive. Kyle Walsh is to share the pictures he has taken before and after the switch to highlight the difference.
Iain Papworth asked if reusable cups can be sold in the Clubhouse?
David Valentine shared that security checks seemed to be more frequent than before and asked if having to be patted down before every game was necessary?
It was noted that fan engagement post-match remains one of the most valuable activations Glasgow Warriors deliver on a regular basis, with special mention to the Fagerson brothers for the time they take to speak to supporters.
It was noted this was Cameron MacAllister’s last meeting.
XVI Warrior were thanked for hosting their annual Old Schoolhouse Quiz, raising money for the Fighting for our Families campaign for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
