Squad Update
Ahead of Saturday’s (26 November, kick-off 3.15 pm) game at the RDS against Leinster in Round Eight of the BKT United Rugby Championship, Glasgow Warriors provides the following squad update:
Huw Jones and Ally Miller have re-joined the squad having recovered from their respective injuries.
Centre Sam Johnson takes part in training this week as part of a phased return to play as he continues rehabilitation from his facial injury.
Earlier in November, Scott Cummings underwent successful surgery at Ross Hall Hospital on a foot injury sustained while training with Scotland. The second-rower is expected to be out until the new year.
Yesterday (Sunday) Enrique Pieretto underwent successful surgery at Ross Hall Hospital on a chest injury and is expected to return for the 2023/24 season.
Ryan Wilson will be assessed and monitored on a knee injury sustained against Benetton.
Duncan Weir has sustained a minor calf injury and is expected to be unavailable for the club’s two upcoming BKT URC matches.
Fly-half Domingo Miotti will miss this weekend’s game with a minor knee strain.
Meanwhile, Cameron Neild and Nathan McBeth have begun to work through the return to play protocols after sustaining head injuries while playing in the club’s training game against Edinburgh last week.
Allan Dell (calf), Thomas Gordon (calf) and Rory Darge (ankle) all continue their rehabilitation for their respective injuries.
