Six Glasgow academy talents selected for Scotland U20
Scotland U20 Head Coach Kenny Murray has named six Glasgow Warriors academy prospects in his squad for the upcoming U20 Six Nations, as his side prepare to play all three of their upcoming home fixtures at Scotstoun.
Murray’s men will face Wales, Ireland and Italy at Scotstoun over the course of the next seven weeks, with tickets for all three fixtures available here.
For the third successive season, a Glasgow Warriors talent will skipper the side, after centre Duncan Munn – who recently captained Glasgow’s U20 side to victory over Edinburgh – was named as co-captain for the tournament alongside Edinburgh back-rower Liam McConnell.
Scrum-half duo Ben Afshar and Finlay Burgess form two thirds of Murray’s options for the number nine jersey, both men having impressed during the FOSROC Super6 for Ayrshire Bulls and Stirling Wolves respectively.
Logan Jarvie is also selected amongst the backs, the winger having joined the academy at Scotstoun during the summer of 2022.
Harris Macleod and Callum Norrie round out the Glasgow contingent, the forward duo looking to bolster the options up front for Murray and his coaching team.
Scotland’s first home match of the campaign sees them welcome Wales to Scotstoun on Friday 10 February, with kick-off scheduled for 7.15pm.
