What a game, that was non-stop.
Jamie Bhatti turnovers the ball on the ground and that threat is snuffed out.
And we’re back on our five metre line. Cardiff having another go at a try.
The scrum half dummies, and makes 30 yards. He then finds Duncan Weir, who puts in a pass to Tom Jordan right on the touch line. He has two steps and then a chance to dive in over the line. He does and we cross over 50 points.
Matt Fagerson and Huw Jones link up nicely in the middle of the park and Glasgow move up to the Cardiff 22.
But, as ever with this game Cardiff find a way to turnover and they look for a way to break up play.
Duncan Weir, now on puts over two more points for Glasgow.
A lovely offload from Euan Ferrie ahead of Dempsey’s break. Then a wee dink through from Kyle Rowe, which he then picks up and touches down for another Glasgow try.
Josh McKay gathers a long clearance kick. Afshar then sets Jack Dempsey off into space.
This game continues end-to-end. We’re now on Glasgow’s five metre line, and Cardiff have the line out. They’re just sort, but Cardiff score again. This time Ben Donald the try scorer.
Another two points from Jordan and we’re 11 points to the good.
A much needed score. Scott Cummings and Matt Fagerson pulling apart the Cardiff defence from the line out and within a matter of seconds of Gregor Hiddleston sending in the line out Fagerson touches down.
Cardiff in at the side on the maul and we go back to the penalty line out.
Ben Afshar has also come on in the past few minutes, replacing Jamie Dobie.
Cardiff fold under pressure and giveaway a penalty. Jordan sends it to touch and our replacement hooker sends in the line out.
Josh McKay, and Huw Jones linking up well making yards. We’re in Cardiff’s 22. We’re working through the phases looking for the gap. Richie Gray contributes fast hands to try to make space.
Tom Jordan makes a quick restart and kicks an almighty kick down field putting Cardiff under pressure. The return kick goes out in Cardiff territory and finally, Glasgow have something to build from.
Tinus de Beer adds three points for the home team, and the margin is cut to four points.
We’re in a period of quite loose play, both teams with handling errors. A lot of pace from both teams, Cardiff currently have the momentum and upper hand though, Glasgow need to calm things down and secure ball.
Tom Jordan gets swarmed on the deck and Glasgow can’t create anything from that attack. Penalty Cardiff and they punt the ball down field.
From the kick off, Teddy Williams makes a break and tries to get he ball away to his supporting man. This looked worrying for Glasgow, but thankfully a knock on brought the attack to a halt and Glasgow win the scrum.
Patrick Schickerling on for Sam Talakai. This will be an uncontested scrum as Cardiff no longer have full front row cover.
A well worked score from McKenzie Martin, started from a 25 metre maul that Glasgow couldn’t stop.
The centre finds his way past three players. Huw Jones wins yards. Jami Bhatti batters the defensive line, but the attack is snuffed out by a Cardiff turnover.
Dan Thomas trying his luck on Jamie Dobie again, this time he infringes at the back of the ruck and Glasgow can put the ball in Cardiff’s half.

Glasgow held on for as long as they could there. About five phases defended right on the line, just stopping their opposition short, but a final pass out to the wing made a way through. The conversion is good too.
Ed Byrne crosses the whitewash but Scott Cummings, Sam Talakai and Kyle Row all managed to get underneath it to hold up the Cardiff player.
Cardiff have pushed Glasgow right back to their try line and forced a handling error to win a scrum on the five metre. Tinus de Beer has made quite an impact since coming on.
From the line out, Cardiff infringe again and Glasgow can kick this ball back up field.
Cardiff’s replacement centre Tinus de Beer makes a break that places the pressure on Glasgow. He gets the ball away to Ben Thomas, but a foot goes into touch and the attack is snuffed out on the five metre line.
High tackle on Rory Sutherland and Glasgow clear their lines. We’re back in Cardiff territory as the clock counts down to the end of the first 40.

Another line break, another run in from distance. Tom Jordan gathers the clearance kick, breaks out wide, has Huw Jones on his shoulder and he runs in from 25.
Johnny Matthews, Alex Samuel, Jamie Dobie, Sione Tuipulotu – 1,2,3,4 passes – and two line breaks from the centre and that’s try number four for Glasgow.
A moment to catch their breaths. Jamie Dobie delivers the ball and then sends it out to the centre pairing of Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones. From that breakdown, Glasgow win a penalty.
From the kick off, Facundo Cordero breaks on the wing. He pins Cardiff back. But, the host’s then have a go through Mason Grady. The pace of this game has been quite something from the start, both teams wanting to throw the ball about and put in some big runs.
Jordan takes a moment to catch his breath and then knocks over the conversion.
The momentum was not in Glasgow’s favour there, but Tom Jordan just nicks a pass from right out the air between Cardiff players and runs in Glasgow’s third try from 70 metres. He dives under the posts and Glasgow move in front.
Cardiff win the ball in the line out though and have another go.
The host’s turn Glasgow’s scrum 90 degrees and then find a way to pull the ball out the back of the set piece. They then try a handful of phases running at Glasgow’s line. Mason Grady has a chance to break down the line, but he’s nudged into touch and Glasgow can ease the pressure that was building.

Almost a carbon copy of Cardiff’s scrum and try a moment ago. Glasgow win the ball out of the set piece, work it wide and find the gap between the opposition defence, running in another five points and levelling the score.
Glasgow earn some territory from the restart, and another loose Cardiff ball hands them the scrum just inside the home-side’s 22.
Cam Winnett, the full back runs a short line off of Ben Thomas and powers over for Cardiff’s second try. The conversion is wide.
Ben Thomas runs a sharp dummy run, making yards for Cardiff and disrupting Glasgow’s defensive line. Facundo then tries to tidy up a dink through but it’s knocked on and Cardiff win the set piece on Glasgow’s 22.
There it is, throw to Alex Samuel, then maul set. We’re still on the five metre line. Cardiff love the breakdown and Dan Thomas emerges with the ball.
What a break from Matthews. Then as the ball is moved wide Cardiff hold up Kyle Rowe, but the referee calls an infringement and Glasgow win a line out on the try line.

Tom Jordan wins Glasgow some territory back in Cardiff’s half. The subsequent line out goes loose and Johnny Matthews makes a 25 metre break. We’re up within five metres of the try line.
Cardiff’s flanker Dan Thomas shoves Jamie Dobie as he attempts a clearance kick, the ball slips out his hands and all Thomas needs to do is touchdown. Cardiff try! We’re all square at Cardiff Arms Park.
Callum Sheedy chips a perfect ball onto his oncoming winger, who is in space. It bounces over the try line and as Harri Millard goes to touch down, out of nowhere Glasgow’s covering defender plucks the ball out the air and runs it into touch. That was close!
Cardiff are now applying the pressure. Ben Thomas finds a half gap and edges closer to Glasgow’s line. Josh McKay’s cover tackle was clinical and a phase later the visitor’s turnover at the ruck once again.
Just under ten minutes into the game and Glasgow have a 7-0 lead. Tom Jordan adding the extras to Jamie Dobie’s lovely solo try.
A lovely dummy and go from Jamie Dobie at the breakdown. He sees the gap and is well in from 45 metres out. That was lovely!
This time Kyle Rowe tidies up well at the back again, clearing the ball from a narrow channel out wide. He eases the pressure for a moment.
Cardiff’s attack comes within five metres, but then Kyle Rowe makes a nuisance of himself at the breakdown letting Huw Jones pick the ball out and turnover.
The referee blows up against Tom Jordan for blocking and the host’s edge into Glasgow’s 22.
Cardiff’s number eight, Alun Lawrence, knocks on from the kick off and that’s a ten metre scrum for Glasgow. But, Glasgow then fumble the ball out the back and the host’s are back in possession.
And we’re off in Cardiff.
