The Glasgow Warriors are not giving up yet as the push on from a lineout into a rolling maul and Ollie Kebbie forcing his way through the Dragons defence to bring them back to the 5′

After a strong scrum debut Facundo Cordero runs nearly the entire length of the pitch on the wing before kicking a grubber kick through which is nearly picked up by Jordan before the Dragons kick the ball out of play giving the Warriors a lineout on the 5′

With a few minutes to go, Glasgow somehow attacks again from within their half. Thomas Gordon at number 7 breaks yet another Dragons defence taking through to the 22′ and the Warriors begin their play again before half time is called.

A beautiful set of play across field from Thompson to McDowall and finally to McKay who takes it comfortably over the line for his second try of the night.

After a messy scrum, Glasgow win a lineout on the 5′, hoping to add to their lead.

Fraser makes a break for it

Angus Fraser makes an amazing break down the wing towards the try line, almost in disbelief as he pushes Dragons defenders off him left and right. He offloads and the ball is lost.

Matthews returns from the Blood injury and immediately makes an impact and the Warriors continue through the phases.

Glasgow put pressure on the Dragon’s recieving of a high ball, forcing a lineout to the home side. They play it out and begin barrelling down the wing towards their grubber kick. Dragons try and pick the ball up but knock it on giving Glasgow a scrum

The dragons take a scrum and with the Warriors conceiving a penalty they take a lineout just into the Warriors’ half

Johnny Matthews does what Johnny Matthews does best as he powers down after a Glasgow lineout nearly breaking through. The ball is played across the pitch and in the speed of the play the ball is lost.

Matthews suffers a blood injury and comes off, being replaced with Angus Fraser

Pressure amping up

Warriors begin phases of play and after a strong carry from McKay down the wing they begin to put pressure on again but are brought down before the 22′

Attacking again

Glasgow press on, back on the attack as Jamie Dobie moves the ball swiftly down the edge of the pitch, he attempts to offload to Ben Afshar as he is brought down but the number 9 just misses and the Dragons regain possession and they win a line out in the Glasgow half

Glasgow shows us how a scrum should be done, with the passage of play moving seamlessly out into a strong attack, winning a lineout on the 5′

They move into a ruck, winning them another lineout this time getting over the line but the ball is knocked on and Glasgow must regroup.

Dragons take a scrum just shy of their 22′ and the ball is fed out but immediately knocked on giving Glasgow their own scrum in the same place

The lineout is played successfully and the home side move forward with McDowall breaks the line before being taken down on the 22′.

Glasgow push forward

The dragons are keen to pull back points and after an intense push on the 5′ they manage to get it over the line but the Warriors hold the ball up and play is pushed back. Dragons conceive a penalty and the ball is kicked to the half way line for a lineout.

The Warriors are on the defence as the Dragons push towards the 22′ and after a deceiving gruber kick from the visitors McKay knocks it on and Dragons take a scrum

This match will also be Club of Origin night, where we are encouraging fans to come to Scotstoun wearing colours from their local rugby clubs. In addition, there will be activities celebrating our clubs across Glasgow, the West and Caledonia in the build up to and on match day.
