FT: Glasgow Warriors 50-8 Zebre Parma
Try Glasgow
From the scrum, Glasgow drive forward play two phases and then replacement hooker Fraser Brown dives over for the last try of the game.
Glasgow penalty
Zebre take out Jamie Dobie off the ball handing Glasgow a penalty. They opt for the scrum.
Both teams parked in Zebre’s 22. No momentum either way with the ball changing hands often.
BKT Player of the Match: Johnny Matthews
It was never really in doubt, a first-half hat-trick, and an assist. Our hooker, Johnny Matthews.
Zebre break
Zebre still trying to create something here. They make 50 metres on the north wing, but there is no support and the offload goes to nowhere. Cummings dives on it and the McDowall then sends the ball back down the pitch.
Try #7
It’s another try for the hosts. This time Sione Vailanu collects a brilliant pass from Jamie Dobie, then he breaks the line and has Thomas Gordon in support. Gordon’s timing is ideal, he collects the offload and dives in under the posts for try number seven.
Zebre Scrum
Zebre play out their scrum attempting to get into their own half but are stopped at the halfway line after continued pressure makes them drop the ball.
Warrior line out
A strong and controlled line out from the Warriors. However as they play it out towards their try line, there is a knock on and the visitors regain position.
Zebre attempt a come back
The visitors go on the attack managing to make some ground and slip past down the line. However it’s not long before Glasgow claim back possession of the ball and the game.
A technically superb try for the Warriors
Glasgow take their scrum on the 5 metre line and with a hard and fast set play, they take the ball to the open side with Weir sending it to McKay who sailed over the line.
George Horne adds to the tally with the conversion.
Yellow for Zebre
Marco Manfredi is the final straw as Zebre give away multiple penalties in a row and he is given a yellow.
Valianu makes ground
Glasgow respond to the kick swiftly making ground back up with Sione Valianu bombing through the Zebre defence.
Another close try for the Warriors
The Warriors are immediately back pushing for another try. They make it to the try line before Zebre manage to hold it up and set up to kick.
And Horne Converts!
Horne adds another 2 points to his try as he converts.
What a try!
George Horne breaks through on their 22 line after incredible performances from the flankers, breaking the Italian defence.
As he is brought down he quickly tips it to the captain McDowall who makes an effortless try!

The Warriors push through the 5 metre line with Sam Johnson nearly scoring after a break from George Horne before a penalty is called against the home side.
Glasgow Penalty
Glasgow receive a penalty from Zebre’s ruck, taking a line out at their 10 metre line.

A messy line out where both teams struggle to take charge of the ball results in a Zebre line out close to their try line.
Warriors respond well pushing the visitors back to halfway

The Warriors open strong, stealing possession and begin to move forward in attack.

Final push
As the 40th minute hits, the team push for a bonus try with a final lineout of the half.
And it’s a Johnny Matthews Hatrick!
Scrum Glasgow
Moments before half time, a Glasgow Scrum ensues which the visitors attempt to steal, failing, causing a reset.
This time the team successfully plays it out and gain a lineout.
Warriors stand their ground
A Zebre scrum on the 5 metre line but its Warriors who win a penalty, kicking the ball swiftly up to the halfway point.
Warriors on the defence
A line out steal from Scott Cummings before the visitors gain the ball back and push forward to their 5 metre line.
The Warrior defence tackled strong forcing Zebre to drop the ball inches from their try line.
A steal and a score
A Zebre line out occurs but after the ball is played out Johnny Matthews steals the ball before offloading to JP Du-Preez, scoring his first try for the Warriors!

Warriors push for the try as another penalty is awarded to the home side as the visitors make contact in the air of a line out.

A scrum takes place on the halfway line that the home side win, successfully playing it out before gaining a penalty from an offside Zebre.
They kick for the line out just outside the 5 metre line.

The Warriors continue to push to their 22 line but another penalty is given to Zebre in quick succession.
They take the line out at the halfway line.

Zebre are awarded a penalty after Warriors enter the ruck from the side not the gateway.
Eden scores the penalty edging Zebre in front.
Warriors push in the advantage line
A line out at the halfway line for the Warriors.
The boys push a set place with Ollie Smith making ground, the visitors manage to gain the ball back before play is paused to check a Zebre injury.

Warriors get a line out just shy of the 5 metre line, turning it into a successful rolling maul.
Johnny Matthews gets the try making it the hookers’ 15th!

Scrum to the home side but Zebre gain a free kick for early engagement from the Warriors

Line out for Zebre, but Stafford steals it in the air and the boys move past the 22 line in a rolling maul

Warriors gain position early before Zebre snatch it back making a good run to the 5 metre line. After a strong attack the visitors make the try.
