It’s then time for the backs to link up with a lovely pass from Duncan Weir to Jamie Dobie, who’s moved from scrum-half to the wing. Dobie then chips and chases, but the cover is good and Perpignan touchdown for a drop out to clear the pressure once again.

The opening moments of the second  period are dominated by the visitors. Glasgow move through lots of phases with both forwards and backs taking carries off the side of the rucks.

We open our European campaign with two wins from two. Next weekend we return to URC action with the first leg of the 1872 Cup, and European action will be back in January.

We face our closest rivals in our 150th year as opponents next Friday (23 December).

So far in 2022/23 Perpignan have played 12 games in the French Top 14, of which they have won four matches – against Toulon, Castres, Lyon, and Bourdeaux Begles.

In the Challenge Cup, they lost their opening round match at home to Bristol Bears, 19-5 last weekend.
